Sign the Online Human Rights Petition

The weekend of February 18 & 19th 2006 marks the first ever “Human Rights Sign-a-thon Weekend”!

This is an exciting international event to gather as many human rights supporters to sign on to support human rights education.

You can also help by forwarding the online petition to your friends or picking up a petition and take it around to your work or neighborhood.  It all helps!

We need 1,200 signatures for San Diego. .

Everybody can be a part of this. This is not a legislative action, but is grass roots and anyone and everyone who believes in human rights is free to sign.

Youth for Human Rights San Diego perform at MLK Breakfast

The breakfast, at the San Diego Convention Center, drew about 1,800 people, a mix of community leaders, politicians and residents. It was one of several local events yesterday, a national holiday to honor the slain civil rights leader.

The breakfast also featured several performers, including Gary Thomas Jr., who recited a mix of King's speeches. He concluded with "I Have a Dream," with children from the group Youth for Human Rights International.
